Vibration-Free Islands
Features/Benefits:
Vibration-Free Islands offer an economical control method for applications where equipment needs to be isolated from surrounding raised flooring and building vibrations. Since 1979, KSI has produced systems for use with raised cleanroom floors from 1' to 6' high. They provide an excellent alternative to poured in place isolation pads, and can be relocated in the future to reconfigure rooms. Today, we manufacture the most advanced sub-floor vibration isolation system. By adapting the BaseMate (9300 Series) Pendulum Platform for installation in the return air plenum beneath the “deck”, we’ve designed a system for cleanroom space economy. We recommend that the BaseMate Vibration-Free Island be used to maximize isolation of sensitive electro-optic systems from vibration caused by footfall traffic and air handling equipment on raised decks. Dimensional drawings and technical assistance for Vibration-Free Islands are available and can be obtained from our sales engineering department. KSI will design a system to match your equipment.
In those cases when a nonisolated support system is required, KSI offers two types of highly damped rigid supports to accommodate your load requirements up to 5000 lbs per leg.
